From the start, Retro Group has been helping owners, engineers, consultants, and contractors protect, restore, and strengthen British Columbia's built infrastructure.

Seeing the Gap Before Anyone Else
As B.C.’s construction market accelerated after Expo 86, Retro saw a need the province hadn’t yet filled: a technically sophisticated specialty contractor.

Retro grew by doing the work others overlooked. No call unreturned, no lead unfollowed and no job too small.
That commitment helped the company expand into institutional work, the pulp mill sector and the leaky condo market that shaped B.C. construction through the decade.

Retro returned its focus to the specialty contracting sector where it started. That focus has held for more than 25 years, and it's where the company's deepest expertise lives.

Retro introduced FRP structural strengthening to BC before most Canadian contractors had heard of it. The same instinct drove earlier work in firestopping and smoke sealing.

Meet the Retro Team
Retro is a small, experienced team. Everyone here has been doing this long enough to know that the details matter. And that the person on the other end of a project call needs straight answers, not reassurance.
Jordan Krentz
Director, General Manager
Jordan is Retro’s General Manager and Senior Project Manager, bringing nearly two decades of experience with the company. He leads complex, high-profile projects with a focus on strong execution, client satisfaction and getting the work done right.
Jordan holds two B.A.s from Simon Fraser University, with a focus in construction law, and joined Retro Specialty Contractors in 2007.
He began his career with Retro as an Estimator/Coordinator before progressing to his current role as General Manager and Senior Project Manager. Jordan enjoys taking on challenging, high-profile projects and works closely with clients and project teams to keep work on schedule and deliver results that meet expectations.
His professionalism, commitment to clients and extensive knowledge of Retro’s work have made him an integral part of the company’s leadership team.

Joe Hoskins
Director, Operations Manager
Joe is Retro’s Operations Manager, bringing more than 30 years of experience in concrete restoration. He oversees projects from initial bid through completion, helping ensure work is delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
Joe joined Retro Specialty Contractors as Operations Manager in 2015 and has more than 30 years of experience in the concrete restoration industry.
Throughout his career, he has worked on projects of widely varying size and scope. His focus on organization, coordination and quality helps keep projects moving smoothly while maintaining Retro’s standards throughout the work.

Mark Scott
Estimator
Mark joined Retro as an Estimator in 2025, supporting the team through the planning and estimating stages of projects. He works with project information and requirements to help prepare accurate, well-informed bids.
Josh Booth
Project Manager
Josh leads project management, estimating, sales and technical support at Retro. With the company since 2018, he works with clients across all industries, thorughout the project lifecycle.
Josh began working in construction in 2005 as an apprentice carpenter and spent more than a decade working onsite. In 2017, he moved into an estimator and coordinator role, bringing his hands-on construction experience into the planning and management side of the industry.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys travelling, running, hiking, strength training, biking, Premier League soccer and craft beer.
Josh began working in construction in 2005 as an apprentice carpenter and spent more than a decade working onsite. In 2017, he moved into an estimator and coordinator role, bringing his hands-on construction experience into the planning and management side of the industry.

Carrie Hoskins
Administrator
Carrie supports Retro’s project administration, health and safety program and day-to-day business operations. She brings 27 years of office administration experience, including 15 years in the construction industry.
Carrie joined Retro Specialty Contractors in 2015 and is involved in all aspects of project administration, from pre-qualification and the bid process through to closeout documentation.
She also administers and monitors Retro’s health and safety program and supports customer and vendor accounts, human resources, payroll and accounting.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, strength training, Pilates and spending time with her family and dogs.
