Grant J. Raeburn, PQS
President & Founder
I have been in the construction business all my life: Glasgow born and raised, Building College, Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and with a strong background in Engineering Contracting on 3 Continents. I started the BC operation 30 years ago celebrating this year 2019. Becoming a Specialty Contractor in the construction industry was my passion then as much as it still is today! I enjoy the interaction with our clients directly, and take pride in being known as one of the more involved owners on a daily basis. I like the people and the energy of the business, and the satisfaction in providing a repair / replacement / enhancement / improvement, that makes a difference in our built environment. My role is to ensure slow and steady growth in our team's ability, provide a platform for the younger professionals to succeed and thrive, and underscore the companies’ strength and success into the next generation. I take professional pride in our ability to change, embrace the next technical innovation, and cater to our clients’ specific requirements.

Grant J. Raeburn, PQS
President & Founder
I have been in the construction business all my life: Glasgow born and raised, Building College, Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and with a strong background in Engineering Contracting on 3 Continents. On my landing in Calgary in 1981 I was hired by PCL Construction and received a sound education on North American construction methods. I proceeded to work for BTY on the Cost Consulting of the Calgary Olympic facilities, and from there as a partner in an Alberta-based Specialty Contracting company. I started the BC-based operation in 1989, and the Washington-based operation in 2001, following on the Pioneer Square earthquake remediation requirement. Being regarded as a good ‘Specialty Contractor’ is still my passion. I want to interact with our clients directly, and take pride in being known as one of the more involved owners on a daily basis. I like the people and the energy of the business, and the satisfaction in providing a repair / replacement / enhancement / improvement, that makes a difference in our built environment. My role nowadays is to ensure slow and steady growth in a volatile marketplace, provide a platform for the younger (and better) members here to succeed and thrive, and underscore the companies’ strength and success into the next generation. I take professional pride in our ability to change, embrace the next technical innovation, and cater to our clients’ specific requirements.
