Vancouver Convention Centre & Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal

Retro has installed both interior and exterior expansion joints and expansion joint covers at Canada Place for the shared parkades, Vancouver Convention Centre and the Cruise Ship Terminal, as well as the connecting hallways and tunnels used by vehicles and people in this vast hub of activity on the Vancouver waterfront. Much of the work had to be performed during low traffic hours in the overnight hours of the morning. The installations were made challenging by the traffic patterns but also the different surfaces, levels and materials the used in the various sections of the building (carpet, tile, stone, metal, ramps, transoms, doorways, railings, etc.).
